If you do decide to try Ebay, consider using reserves. You will always get a higher value by selling it yourself as opposed to an auction or selling it to a dealer. It does reach a lot of people, but the values tend to be lower. Some places charge about 25% to 30% of final sell price, but in dealing local you generally have less competition. You might check out the consignment cost with any local antique shops. Other good websites are GoAntiques, Bonanza, and Artfire. All of these places will help you sell worldwide. Rubylane, Tias, and Cyberattic are great selling sites too and are more like online antique shops. Etsy has fantastic rates and really does well with vintage kitchen and dinnerware. For selling, Etsy and Amazon are turning about to be a great alternative to Ebay. It make take a few selling tries, but there are collector's out there. The only downside to selling china right now is that there are a number of people trying to currently get rid of their china so there is quite a bit on the market. I wanted to give you all the prices so you have more of an idea of how you might want to sell it. It does take longer, but you get the higher values and it helps to know what each piece is worth. Sometimes you can get a higher value by breaking the set up or by piecing it out. That should do it, but if I missed anything please let me know. Based on my records, here's the value of the pieces you gave me: 8 dinner plates - $10 to $15 each 8 salad plates - $6 to $10 each 8 cups and saucers - $6 to $10 each set 8 dessert/fruit bowls - $5 to $8 each 8 soup bowls - $5 to $8 each 1 serving bowls - $30 to $50 each 1 platter - $40 to $60Īs a whole (w/ the extras) your set should have a secondary value around $300 to $400. It is completely discontinued now, so some of the pieces are harder to find. The "official" name is***** records list it as being produced around the midcentury. My name is ***** ***** I'd like to see if I can help. ![]()
